The 11th Annual International Computing and Combinatorics Conference was held successful in Kunming, on August 16th-19th, 2005.

"Workshop on Random Graph Theory and Networks" was held by Lab of Graph Theory, Combinatorics and Networks in Beijing, on August 23rd-26th, 2005.

Prof. Tai-Ping Liu, Director of the Institute of Mathematics, Academia Sinaca, Taipei, visited AMSS on August 19th-23rd, 2005.

Prof. Ma Zhiming and Assistant Prof. Guan Qingyang of our institute were respectively awarded the 7th Hua Loo-Keng Mathematics Award and the 7th Zhong Jiaqing Mathematics Award.
